Age of Learning, the creator of the digital education platform ABCmouse, has seen explosive popularity during the pandemic. In a funding round led by TPG, the company’s valuation more than doubled to $3 billion. The Qatar Investment Authority, Madrone Capital Partners, and Tencent Holdings Ltd. also participated in the $300 million round. Age of Learning plans to use the proceeds for international expansion and to accelerate the development of their next-generation offerings.
ABCmouse, known for its award-winning curriculum, now offers a free-to-play learning experience for young children. The app provides a curated set of daily learning activities that transform education into an adventure kids love.
The ABCmouse Early Learning Academy, trusted by teachers and designed by early learning experts, covers reading, math, art, music, and more for kids ages 2 to 8. It’s used in over 70,000 classrooms and nearly half of all U.S. public libraries.
